fun all nite long

Last nite I got myself and squirrella to the guild meeting. dragonintherain also attended. It was my first one of the real "meetings" as I usually get a chance to go to their spin ins or the annual brunches. I just never can fit more than that in. But last ntie was a real treat and I am so glad I went.

Chad Alice Hagen was super fun to listen to. She's a real artist, but also the salt of the earth mid-westerner. She loves to play with her art and if she doesn't like it she cuts it up and re-assembles it. She has a show right now in Asheville and she has something on permanent display at the Knoxville Civic Center, both of which I wish I could go see this weekend!!

Unfortunately she doesn't have the current show listed.. and I don't know where it is. perhaps if you live in the area you can look it up in the newspaper or drop her an email. she was very personable. I totally wanted her to be my new best friend when she was done talking. She had this very real earthy air about her that made you just want to talk to her forever. She makes fabulous art and I was just shocked by how fun they were to touch and play with. I hope she come back up north again soon, I would love to meet her again.
