plans plans plans
Oct. 1st, 2004 11:57 amI feel like the worker bee, making my lists and trying to get everything right in my head.
This weekend I plan on doing alot of crafting. I have the Hush Hush at the stage where I am just doing LOTS of stockenette. I have the scarf at the more than 1/2 way mark. I have those quilt sqs begging to come out from the darkness of the closet. (and considering that they are rainbow colors, no wonder they are hollering so loudly.. no one who wears a rainbow likes the closet for long) I have a football game with which to knit and eat lots of homemade pizza with friends (For those who are not big rivalry fans, this weekend is the PU vs ND weekend. Sue=ND I=PU. It is the only day of the year that we can say nasty, nasty things about each others schools.) Sharon and John are coming over to help me cheer for the alma mater. And if I have time there will be cross stitching. I cannot think about another knitting project until one of the 2 is off the needles or one of the non-knitting projects gets done.
I just realized this morning I am not going to ME next weekend. I'm really bummed about it. I really wanted to spend some time with Amy and her family. Not to mention I was looking forward to a day off from work that isn't going to happen.
The weekend after I am headed to Rhinebeck. I can't wait to get there. I hear so many wonderful things, I think I finally need to start seeing them for myself. I mean one can dream of fantasyland, but then you start to get wild ideas that there really is bubblegum trees and lollipop fountains. The only person I know I want to try to meet is Yarn Harlot.. and with her petty rivalry going on between Claudia and Silvia.. I don't know if that is going to happen. Some of the glbt knitsibs will be there, as well as other bloggers I know and love.. but if I just GET THERE that will be the best part. And the only thing I plan on doing there? Picking the colors for my corset from Spirit Trails. I'm sure there will be other things I'll WANT.. but I doubt much will come home with me. Well.. We will see about that I am sure!
