weekend is just around the corner
Jun. 18th, 2004 10:23 amWell, after this exhausting week I am looking forward to the weekend. I plan on SLEEPING IN! I don't usually plan it as much as I crave it this week. With my early week insomnia I have just been trying to play catch up, keep the eyes open at work, and get home without hurting myself or others!
Knitting news:
I have up to row 116 done on my CW. I haven't done anything with her since the knit-in. I knit her on the train going up to Chestnut Hill and stopped once I got there. Giving CW her private time alone with me means she gets worked on less often, but there are less mistakes to undo this way.
I finished the kidlet tank this week. I sewed in all the loose yarn and want to put it in a package this weekend to my mother. I have a felted bag ready for mom as well. And if I am really good at lunch today, I will have a beaded bag to put in the package. I need 12 more rows to finish it off. I will make the twisted cord to cinch it closed, but might need to make an i-cord strap. Since this one is bigger than the others a strap might be necessary. I'll see after I seam up the sides tonite.
I am taking a class with Annie Modesitt tomorrow on knitting with beaded wire. I got my metal needles from Naomi last nite. I am pretty excited about knitting with wire because I have lots of ideas in my head for this coming holiday season. I love Annie's designs and I am sure the class will be very nice. I've taken a class from her before and I think she is a great teacher.
Tonite: Indigo Girls concert!! This is their last album with a major record label. So I think this might be their last "large scale" concert tour. I love both Amy and Emily. I am looking forward to the concert. Sue was a sweety to get me the tickets for our anniversary.
