I'm done with my kidlet tank. Its adorable and sweet. I think the niece will like it. I'm putting it in a box with my mom's felted purse I made her. I hope they like it. I'm very happy with it. And I think the Cascade rainbow was a good choice.

I've started swatching for the chain mail tank from IK.. um can I say that berroco cotton twists sucks ass? (that is the most polite way to put it, I mean it!) If anyone can give me a good way to cast on this crap.. I've bought the yarn for a commissioned piece for my boss. If the cast on looks as crappy as my swatch cast on, I doubt she'll buy it from me. yuck. When I finally get it under control in the second row it all looks nice and even and lovely. I just need a different cast on. Perhaps a provisional cast on? suggestions?

I am going to the TW knit-in tomorrow nite, if anyone is interested. I do so love the TW. FYI I'll be knitting a black beaded bag for my mom if anyone is looking for me. I can't remember if they have Cascade fixation. I hope they do. I want to buy some for my next project for mememe!!! I'm going to be daring and make myself a bikini. yup. You heard it here. A bikini to wear in p-town. As a person who generally wears a dark grey one-piece so she doesn't scare the fish, this is a big leap. But Amy said she would help me figure out the pattern I have and I want something special for myself before the end of the summer.

Last little tidbit: I got my yarn from Threadbear this morning. I ordered enough Noro for a retro prep sweater from IK (Fall 2002). I haven't decided if it will be for me (I sorta want it) or if it will be for Sue's mom (who has been asking for a Noro something or other since she saw my felted projects.) I love the color and I'm glad I decided to go out on a limb and buy it. Thanks Rob!
