tornado weather

Coming out of my house this morning it felt like tornado weather. That humid cold. With kicking winds and weird clouds/lighting. blech.

Got myself relatively together this morning. Took apart the drain in the bathtub, scanned my stash, fed the cat. Listened to Meredith Viera... can I tell you she is as stupid as she sounds? I mean they always acted like Katie Couric was dumb, but she wasn't. Meredith.. she's just a passel of dumbness. I guess what they wanted was what they tried to portray with Katie.. someone who is actually stupid instead of someone pretending to be stupid.

Last nite was full of awesome. Spinning and dinner. A fabu combo of yummy asian tasties and actually sitting at my wheel and spinning something I love. I only got an oz spun, but it is about fingering weight. I hope to spin up another oz and ply it. I have 4 oz total to play with and see if I can make a nice lacey scarf with it.

OH and I am like inches from finishing the bohus hat. I started the decreases last nite.

I actually prefer Meredith and the Today Show over the vapidness of GMA. If ABC was going to replace Charlie Gibson on GMA, they should have replaced him with someone with some... gravitas. But I guess the morning news shows don't think the watching public really needs "serious" news. :P

I don't know much about CBS's morning show...

And, dude? You took apart your bathtub drain this morning??? I'm lucky I was able to get my socks to match this morning!

Oh I prefer the today show by far from any other morning show. I give Ann Curry all the credit though. ;) I think the other shows are far more cutsey wootsey for my tastes (don't get me started on the mid-morning shows. I cannot STAND Regis. It is like the sound of his voice grates ever nerve in my body.)

ah.. there was no choice in the bathtub dept. I have been fighting with it and fighting with it.. Sue acts like nothing is wrong (yeah nothing is wrong when the water won't drain and it is up to my eyeballs...) We've been using drano every 3 months adn I felt like ENOUGH. So I grabbed a screwdriver and got the sucker apart. I won't discribe it.. to gruesome. But I fixed it!!!!

Okay, not really. I can't stand her or the rest of them (yes, including Ann and her over-the-top-sympathetic-tone). For some reason it still ends up on the tube in the morning. It seems there are no decent news programs anymore.
