Last nite was lovely. I had a wonderful nite of knitting. (knite of knitting?) Sue and I went to see the Orchestra at the Mann music center. We got free tickets to last nite's performance because Sue bought season tickets. She chose last nite because they had the Canadian Brass as their special guests. Sue is a trombone player and so this was a concert dear to her heart. What a GREAT show!! I took a page from the Yarn Harlot when she takes Ryan's Dublin Bay Socks with her to different events. I didn't have my camera Stephanie, but the Morehouse Snowdrop Shawl had a lovely time. The Canadian Brass were very witty and so the MSS felt right at home. Sort of a "wish you were here" postcard. Really. I don't have a new picture of the progress from last nite but I have a picture of what the shawl looked like Sunday nite. First a picture of the yarn- Morehouse Merino again. (Love this yarn!) Originally slated as CWII, but now being used for the Snowdrop. The color in the middle is leftover from CWI that I didn't want to go to waste. Next a picture of the shawl as of sunday. Why do the laws of nature dictate that shawls defy being photographed? Stephanie, it is a wonderful shawl, lovely to knit as well as to look at. Thanks for the pattern!

So I spent some time last nite after the concert getting the pics cleaned up and downloading some new ones. I don't want to overload you (or LJ) with pics.. so I'll put a little every day this week. If you are chomping at the bit and need to see them now you can go here: Purlewe's Photos. I have a newer (IMHO) better pic of the lace that is charlotte, and a glimpse of the bikini sans straps but with full decolletage. They are at the bottom of the page. Enjoy! And perhaps I will get more recent photos up by the end of the week before my vacation.

Nice photos. Now I want some Morehouse merino even more than before.

What's the yarn in Rowena's bag? I like the shading. Or did you dye it yourself?

thank you

rowena's bag was made of a yarn I have not seen before or since called orkide. very lovely sock weight yarn. I have another ball to make something for me!

Hope you are feeling better.

I am doing quite a bit better.

I've been watching and waiting for the Morehouse website to go live for something like 4-5 years. :-)
