I got quite alot done this weekend. A little bit of housecleaning (stress a little.. I can always do more), plenty of knitting, some quality time with Sue... which is what I really like. I'm a homebody, and I'll admit it. I'd rather spend some good quality time with Sue hanging out and talking.. reading books and watching movies.. than racing around hither and yon for something I can get from home. We went to one of our favorite indulgences this weekend, dim sum. We went to a place that has been recommended several times over by different people as the best new (not really new any more) dim sum place: Southern Sky on Washington Ave. YUMMY!

I did knit up a storm. The boob job *giggle* is done on the bikini. I need to finish the straps. I like the design, but I am worried that I will need a bit of elastic just to *ahem* hold things together. I took pics last nite and everything: bikini, the yarnharlot shawl, more CW... but I need to do some webcleaning (hence the title) I need to go through my pics online and take out all of the pics of partially finished items to make way for finished items. Earthlink told me very kindly last nite that I have 180kbs left when I tried to download a 184kb item. So I will leave you with 2 pics. One of the finished CW which I have re-dubbed: Morehouse Charlotte. This is due to using the Morehouse Merino instead of the Koigu. I say that this shawl defies pictures.. when I finally get a good one it still looks as if I am too far away. If I get a close up- you can't see all the colors. *sigh. I seem to take a hundred pics of her and can't show her beauty.



And lastly.. my niece got her tanklet from me.. I know its just silly for me to show it to you, but Dakota looks so happy how could not share?




So I'll be doing some heavy duty picture editing and cleanup. Once done I'll post new pics of the shawl I'm working on and show you how the bikini goes. More soon!

I will thank you for all compliments, even the niece ones.. I had no idea how long her hair was getting.. so much for living far away....

Dim Sum!

Hi, it's me Ryan, but I have to post as "anonymous" since I'm not a LiveJournal member. Had to say, though, just your mention of "dim sum" got my mouth watering. When my family and I lived in Asia, we used to eat dim sum frequently, and I still miss it--lots! Last year, I went to a local dim sum place, but I went alone, and they sat me alone, so I ended up paying the same amount for ALL those dishes as if four or five people had shared them. An expensive way to take a sentimental journey, but I'd do it again.

Its strange, the colors of CW doesn't seem to look the same as I thought they would. Silly me.

its a combo of things.. the pics up close show the colors really really well.. but then you can't see them all. so I go farther away and then you see only dots of color b'c of the lace. frustrating really b'c I know how it looks in person. and I wish I could show you. the close up (184 kb that wouldn't load) is a good shot. And the snowdrop is WONDERFUL!! and a very easy knit.

thanks for the compliments on the tanklet. great design btw. she loves it. nieces (and kids in gen.) grow like weeds don't they??

Oh, Anj, from what I can tell, Morehouse Charlotte is breathtakingly gorgeous! Fantastic job. I say you bring her with you the next time you're in the city, so I can admire her properly.
