re: knitting another item

purleweI am sure I have mentioned in the past, (perhaps when those baby arms were looming over my head,) that I get KAI syndrome when I get close to finishing something. Knitting Another Item is a real disease. This time I swore I wouldn't do it, and then life got in the way of my plans.
So I am very much in love with my bikini. I lurve it sooo much. But I had another thing to do this week. And so I spent my time writing and researching and trying very hard to come up with something that sounded coherent about knitting. And to do that I needed pictures to illustrate my point. So last nite, in the interests of illustration only, I sat down and cast on another item. *sob* I don't know why I do this to myself, really. But I have to say I cast on a worthy item: Stephanie the Yarn Harlot's Snowdrop Shawl. (there are 2 links there.) Its lovely isn't it?? And if it is real good and doesn't cause me fits I will even post pictures of it by monday. But honestly I *want* to finish the bikini first! And I better by this weekend.
So last nite was a good evening. I love having a bunch of time to myself to work on something, the satisfaction of finishing it, and then a good bit of cheese crackers and/or ice cream to celebrate. Spoke to my mom and talked about digital cameras again. I'm looking at them online to compare prices and abilities. Any comments and suggestions are welcome.
