Last nite at TW was really great. I really enjoyed visiting with the whole knitting gang. Diana was very sweet to hang out with us and knit (Hi! thanks for the lovely wine!!) And even though it wasn't a record high attendance nite, we had plenty of fun and giggling. Marilyn brought in her brag book. Wow this woman has such great taste in fabrics and colors. And in the middle of the evening this one woman (forget her name! I hate CRS disease!) was working on her sleeve for her cardigan and tried to pick out buttons for it. She picked out 3 really nice buttons, but the button crazy girl in me hopped up and grabbed 12 more for her to look at. She finally narrowed it down to 2. They were stunning. Either one will really make her sweater even nicer.
I am slowly progressing on the bikini. No, the top portion is not done yet. But I think that I have plenty of time, and if I don't get the bottoms done, I won't be upset. I'll just wear shorts on the beach. My camera batteries came last nite so I can take pics of all my latest goodies and pop them on here soon. When I got home last nite I finished the article I was writing. I am hoping to get some pics to help illustrate my ideas tonite so I can send it in. Cross your fingers for me!
And a few words on current events and pop culture. Bill Cosby is right about African American education and children. I am sure Frederick Douglass has been rolling in his grave for years and is finally breathing a sigh of relief that someone is finally speaking up about this topic. The FMA was voted down in the senate, but it will still go to a vote in the house next week. I hope the PA reps get a clue and don't vote the way the senators did. And did anyone see Santorum made an ass out of himself again? Some of his grandstanding was sickening, but I think that when he said that saving marriage was about homeland security I finally wanted to go buy a gun myself and shoot him. And I never want to own a gun! And lastly, the guy on Jeopardy! (go jennings! whoohoooo!) hit the $1mill mark and the season ends next week on July 23rd. I'm not making bets or nothing, but I think this guy hasn't lost yet and will be back at the Jeopardy! studios in August to complete his run. For nerds everywhere I only wish him the best of luck.
