what a great week
Jul. 2nd, 2004 10:19 amSo overall I had a lovely week. I got myself closer and closer to the finish line with CW. She is even playing nice and letting me knit her in public. I went to a dinner party at my friend's Sharon and John's on Tuesday. I got to see her folks and see some of their friends. I got to play with their adorable doggies.. lightening and thunder, 2 elkhounds that I have a serious crush on. I was overwhelmed at a retirement sale up the street from my house: 243 asia on 10th between locust and spruce. This guy has things I have only seen abroad. He's been in business for 36yrs and WOW has he got some great stuff. Even with his markdown the stuff I want is not going to be cheap. Last nite I went to din din with Parker and Robbie at Lolita's, a great mexican restaurant on 13th and Samson. Yummy tamales and carnitas. Wonderful bring your own tequila and get watermelon mint margs.
I spent some time this morning gathering my stuff for the big weekend in the poconos. I am bringing the last 22 rows of CW. the bikini top. the quilt I need to start. and the yarn for the chain mail tank (so I can start it.) Sue's mom wants to quilt with me and I want to start the darn thing. I'm bummed about my machine being out of time, and need to take it to a repair shop. The good news is that Sue has a machine at her folks I can use.
Other than that I wish everyone a nice holiday weekend.
