So this weekend Sue and I left early friday to head up to NY. The plan: to meet Amy and her husband, see the craft show are Rhinebeck and get home before our 830 am game vs Woody's. I think that the weekend went swimmingly.

Amy and J

Amy and Anj

The best part about meeting Amy?? laughing. hard.. snarfing drinks through the nose laughing. The shadow knitting society (see her comments about that here.) and just plain old seeing each other in person. I wish I could have spent more time with her. I might just have to go up to ME and bug her and her whole family. And it was also nice to see things that Amy made.. either knitting or pottery wise in person. She is a real talented artist.

While we were there, my friend Dani, her husband and my godchild, Nina came along.. and they happily gave me pics of said godchild in the christening outfit.

Sue finally got to meet Nina and that was alot of fun. Isn't it so funny how children grow up so fast? I mean we saw her 3 weeks ago.. and now she is definitely focusing her eyes and smiling and almost laughing.

And being with Judy and Wynn and Chris was great. I even spent 20 seconds seeing my cousin Mike. Something about the farm is just so comforting to me. When I go here I feel like I am really on vacation, even if I am helping out. My Uncle has a bit of dry humor that always makes me laugh. And Judy and I always putter around the kitchen together. Chris always gives me a hug, and there is plenty of time to sit in the gazebo and watch the sun go down. I've got pics of all of us that are not so flattering... But I was kind...
