yes, we have no bananas
Apr. 13th, 2004 11:21 amTangled Web Knit-in this thursday 6-9!! Be there!
No pictures today. I was just too wiped out from the weekend to get pics taken and then online. I'll add some later to the mix.
knitting knews:
finished: the MANNA bag. I need to sew the lining and add the handles. It is a nice sized bag.. not too big or little. This one is 7.5 inches to 9 inches. I like the way it looks and I love the way the colors look on this one.
baby christening outfit: I am past 12 inches on the outfit. I talked to the mom and asked her how long she wanted it. We decided that 22 inches (including the bodice) would be good. I love how the pattern goes, but I think that all the tension of size 5 needles makes my arm tired. I did complete the bonnet this weekend. The mom will be induced on Wednesday if the baby doesn't come sooner.
quilting news:
I bought (fat quarters) 2 more golds and 1 more red and a whole load of black (2 yds) to get the final colors for my quilt. I will try to post pics as it goes. I am using 5 golds/yellows, 3 reds and 2 basic blacks for the quilt. it will be a 9 patch quilt using the end of the world star. I will put a border of one black then add another border to bring the pattern out onto the edges before I bind it. I was supposed to use up to 6 different blacks but I wanted a more uniform look. I went with the same black but it is slightly batiked (batiqued?) with drk blue so I think that one black is fine. I hope to start sewing on it soon.
Hope everyone had a happy holiday. And FYI for all you readers out there.. if you don't belong to livejournal you can still post comments. Feel free to ask me questions etc, but if you want me to respond PLEASE send me your email addy. I can't know how to respond without it. (KAREN H.. I would love to help you.. please let me know how I can reach you)
