Hey all I wanted to blog a few minutes and then give you some easter goodies.
I have been knitting away at my MANNA project. I am on the last color of my pattern. It is deep maroon, hot pink, and orange like Bobbi's, but in a different order colorwise. I think it is turning out really nice. I'll post pics when its done. Both QueerJoe and the diva Amy have also contacted MANNA. If you want to do something for them but haven't the time this year, money is always nice.. but perhaps I'll try to get together a knit along for them next year.
I've been busting my little backside to try to finish up my work so I can leave with a clear conscience for 2 days (a 4 day weekend! wha-hoo!) Sue and I will be spending it in the Poconos (well north of them) with her family. I am thinking about getting my blocks cut for my quilt I planned last christmas. Sue's mom is a quilter extraordinaire and I will use her expertise and tools to cut everything out. Sewing I can do at home and hopefully I'll have a wallhanging or something larger in the works. I'm dreadfully picky about these types of things. I admire and respect the long history of quiltmaking, but honestly nothing sings to me when it comes to making a pattern. Sue's mom, Sheila, has PLENTY of patterns. I found one that is not a normal concept (more abstract and organic) yet still maintains the sensibilities of quilting.
Here is a pic that looks exactly like my cat Buddha, if he was this patient and had a white foot (Buddha is all black). I miss Buddha terribly but I know he is doing well and living with his other Mom and playing with his buddy, Snikkerdoodle.
And I leave you with an exorcist related bunny movie here
