purleweIn baby news.. I got a weblink for Christina Rose.. I got a pic of Audrey Christine, but I don't have a link for it yet. Sorry Jackie! In knitting news... I actually measured Christina Rose's christening gown last nite.. my eyeball and the yardstick do not agree.. it is really only 18 inches complete. So I have 4 inches to go before I am done.
(with a bashful face I say:) I cast on another project today at lunch. It isn't that I don't love the gown. I just want to do something different. I actually have a lineup of projects at home waiting patiently for me to work on them. But I threw caution to the wind and finally cast on for Charlotte's Web. Yes, that shawl that is spoken about in reverent tones for all it's beautiful Koigu-ness.. Except funds kept me from doing it in Koigu. I had 4 skeins of laceweight merino from Morehouse merino http://www.morehousefarm.com/ that I have picked up on different trips.. I decided to just go for it.. and by the time I get back up to the Rhinebeck, NY area for the baby's christening, I'll need to pick up the last skein. So really I had to only buy the pattern for now, and another skein for later. I think all will be well and my love of the C.web will be sated. (my poor tape tank and cardigan will have to wait.)

THAT is how I want mine to look, edging and all. Amy's projects are as always amazing and gorgeous. I love her work and read her blog often. I've dropped her a note asking about her edging on this project b'cos I think it really gives the piece a sense of flare. I really love CW and I hope that mine turns out to be half as nice as Amy's.

I want to knit CW. I've shopped for it a million times and almost email Threadbear a million times as well. Someday I won't have so may projects and a budget ban on yarn. I can't wait to see how your's comes out. I bet it will be gorgeous.
