purleweI should talk about knitting, babies and softball.
knitting: I just keep trucking on the christening gown. I am about 20 inches on the gown. I think Dani and I decided on 22 inches.. so I am close to being done. I did finish the bonnet already (although I worry it won't fit...) and I have to make some booties to be "complete"
Babies!!! My friend Jackie and her hubby, Greg, had a lovely baby girl on April 10th. While I have not started the sweater for little Audrey Christine, Jackie has graciously told me I can get it to her by the fall. (just in time for the feast next year Jack!!) Jackie is an old Girl Scout friend with whom I have shared many a giggling evening staying up way too late eating sugar.
Our second baby (and my triplet) is Christina Rose. Dani FINALLY gave birth on April 16th. Both mother and baby are happy and healthy and I am excited enough to ditch work and run up to see my godchild.. but I won't... Dani's hubby Steve's comment: yup, she's healthy. 10 fingers, 11 toes. *giggle
So all my friends had baby girls.. I guess I used up all my wishes this time around.
Softball: Uncles Upstairs (yes, that is our name) played their first 2 games this weekend. We had a great time. wonderful weather and a terrific team! Our first game tied and our second game was a hard fought battle till the bitter end where we pulled out one run ahead and won the game!! whoopee!!
