These guys are getting a trim before being shown. I talked to one of the handlers about how hard it was to get them to do this. She said the first year is hardest but after that they just give in knowing it will be over quicker if they just try to ignore you. I love the fact that the 2nd one has 4 colors in his coat.

llamas are funny looking dudes. And tmk is right, they make this humming, clicking noise in the back of their throats. So do alpacas, but for some reason they are cuter.





I mean who wouldn't want to love this alpaca.. he's adorable! Sue thinks he looks liek elvis though. I just say he's snuggly cute.

my dream for a while has been to live on a sheep farm, this goes back to before i had any interest in knitting or crochet. i just like sheep.

It's the "Moe" haircut - like the Three Stooges. Llamas look like they're working a comb-over, alpaca have a Three Stooges look to them, and you just can't help but giggle...

yes, we did pet and touch every kind (if they let us) some were pretty shy.. and considering the surroundings I don't blame them. some were really really soft.. others, not so much.. but I loved the lincoln/romney sheep. such curly locks!

if my aunt gets a sheep farm perhaps you can go up and visit with me.

i would LOVE to go.

my roommate in college, her family lived on a sheep farm. i got to go and check it out and saw all the little lambs right after they were born. i wanted to move in.

if jeremy and i move this summer, we're hoping to go rural so that i can have a small (very small) farm with sheep. i've got the workmens overalls picked out for me and my dog/helper already.
