When meeting [livejournal.com profile] breenlantern this weekend he brought up a good point. He asks newer friends what movies they could not live without. Movies they could watch over and over and over again. It helps him know if these are people he can relate to right away if he loves the same movies they do. It was really hard to pick just 3. So I have extended the questionnaire so to speak. So play along with me, won't you?

3 movies I could watch over and over again:
Amelie
Aunti Mame (Rosalind Russell version)
Office Space

3 movies that almost made the cut:
Pillow Book
Eat, Drink, Man, Woman
Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert

3 children's flicks
Spirited Away
Incredibles
Ratatouille

3 erotic movies
In the Mood for Love
Henry and June
The Lover

3 gay movies
To Wong Foo
Better than Chocolate
But I'm a Cheerleader

3 series movies
star wars
star trek
matrix

Actors I could watch no matter what (3 guys 3 girls)
Julliette Binoche
Judy Dench
Maggie Cheung

Forrest Whitaker
Kevin Spacey
Guy Pierce

"Queen of the Dessert" is a really wonderful, wonderful typo. Thanks for making me smile. :) Seriously, that could be an excellent movie about a pastry chef.

A fast version of my list, aka The Movies I Have Bought: Amelie, A&E version of Pride & Prejudice, Incredibles, Microcosmos.

I noticed recently that there is a new DVD version of Priscilla with some new extras and such. Fool that I am, I will probably get it even though I have it already. been a while since I have seen it - may have to drag it out again.

I love amelie b'c it has all those things that make a fantastic love story. humor, whimsey, and just a touch of sweet.

I have a much longer list of actors.. but those rose to my head at first thought. Forest is like finally getting his due. I am so proud to have called him a favorite since Good Morning Vietnam. :) Oliver Platt is another.. and Pillip Seymor Hoffman.. and and and. well Tony Leung too.. but it is hard b'c there are 2 maggie Chuengs and 2 tony Leungs in the asian actors world.. so it is like saying John Smith I guess to admit how much I like them.
