oh, balls.
Nov. 19th, 2007 12:07 amDamn. Well I figured it up and finally got it through my thick skull. I am going to be about 300 yds short of yarn on Sue's sweater. I thought having 17 balls of this yarn would be enough.. but I mis-read the pattern. It needs 10 100g balls and I have 17 50g balls. damn and damn.
So if anyone has in their stash 1-3 balls of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes color Fern (dyelot 83644, but I won't be picky.) I would be forever in your debt. I would trade you anything you wanted wool-wise. I would even spin something up OR make something you wanted.
I most likely do not need all 3 balls. I had made the cuffs shorter and it was going to be a crew neck instead of a turtle neck. But I still think that most likely I will be short by 1 50g ball of yarn.
Last ditch hope: I could order some from knitpicks and pray they haven't changed the color too, too much. OR I could make Sue's sweater into a v-neck. *sigh. My other idea of making the back ribbed and without cables did not fly so well. So any help would really be appreciated. THANKS!!!
