not much to say..

So I am working like a little bee on my secret pal final present. I want to give her somethings special and I was all set to make this one thing... and I get there and the pattern is gone. I mean GONE! I had bought everything to make it too. So I contacted the designer and I am having another pattern sent.. but until then I need to make something. I have about 6" done. I don't know if it will get done.. but hey.. I run on extra lean octane.
The scam of the day:
I hear alot of scams working here in a library. Today's scam is this: they send the updated version of the book. Only its now a cd-rom. OK.. but where is the book? Its coming. Well, can we return the cd-rom until the book comes out? No.. we are only accepting subscribers who take both cd and book form. Its 300$ more than if you just get the book! My favorite line from the rep? "but you get 10 free online searches when you use the cd-rom!" Funny.. I can look in a book more than 10xs for FREE! At first I was really confused.. she made it sound like the book was out of print and we would HAVE to use the cd-rom. Not to mention the upgrades and etc to make sure it is compatible with our system it could really be expensive. Complete waste of time.
