well, I am progressing slowly...
Jul. 21st, 2004 02:13 pmI should have had that bikini done. I really should have. The call of the shawl is strong with that one. I tell myself "I MUST knit the bikini" last nite. I got 3 rows done on the shawl and went to bed.
In all fairness the pic you are about to see doesn't have as much done on the bikini that I really have done. I have 8 inches of the left strap and 4 inches of the right. When they both reach 8 inches I will start knitting them together down the back to make a t-backed bikini top. Will I finish the bottoms? Yes. When? Well, sometime before Aug 16th. but more than that I cannot say. Doesn't this sound suspiciously like I will be knitting them while hanging out at the beach. Why yes, but whatever gave you that idea? besides.. I am sure there are some sort of semi-clad beaches where I can wear my top. :)

This is the LAST pic of "charlotte the first" to grace this blog. I swear. I thought it would be nice to see a closeup of the lace repeats after they have been blocked. And the color is fairly accurate. I am using the last of the purpley, creamy, sagey bits for the bottom of my Snowdrop. I had more than I thought. This laceweight yarn really can freak a knitter out by giving you more yarn than you know have. It just keeps GOING!
