I promise I didn't disappear
Mar. 9th, 2004 04:43 pmhello folks! I swear I was only gone for a blink of an eye.. yet my desk at work tells me differently. I have a pile that I should tackle, but wanted to let you know what I was up to.
Visited the folks in FL. Saw my mother and grandfather and his new wife. Saw my father's father (called Pop Pop) and his new girlfriend. Also saw my Uncle Tommy and Aunt Gerri and their son Kevin. It was a nice time to run around and catch up with everyone. Of course there was not enough time to do what we wanted, or even really spend time with some of these folks. (poor Pop Pop, I only saw him for what seems like a blink. Uncle Tommy and Aunt Gerri saw me for two blinks!!) Grandpa sang for the Barbershoppers (yes, its a bit cheesy, but I do enjoy hearing him sing.) and I learned why his jokes are so bad: barbershoppers only tell corny, terrible or stupid jokes.
Example: I hear your wife drives like lightening, is she really that fast? No, it just means she hits every tree she drives by.
I did knit though. Knit all the way down on the plane, knit while I was tehre, knit all the way back. got some pics and will post them later. I also will post later about my cousin Chris. There is a link I need to find first.
Hope all of you are well. Keep your fingers crossed for my softball team. We think we have the bare minimum to play. I really want to play, but the commish just thinks we are being a pain in her ass. (I think she wants to even out teh teams by separating people. That is a good theory if you have too many teams, but I don't think they do IMHO)
