Well I've been wanting to do this, but I never had the $$ to do the summertime CSA shares. The Farm to City program is supporting a winter harvest program. You pay them money and they put it on account. Then you order food and they deliver it to the city. This way I am not paying it all out up front to the tune of hundreds of dollars, and I can order specific foods for my household.

If you are interested, check it out ehre: http://www.farmtocity.org/Home.asp?mname=Philadelphia+Winter+Harvest

I'm looking forwrard to using it.

That is AMAZING. We get veggies, honey, and bread from a farm in our (city) neighborhood in the summer and get organic produce delivered in the winter, but I have so much trouble getting local stuff in the winter. I mean, we can get it, but we have to go to one place for one thing, one place for another... I am in love with Winter Harvest!
